With the potential loss of federal funding streams, grants, and stagnant or declining local budget funds, rural public librarians are constantly re-evaluating the services they provide to their communities. How do we prepare and prioritize critical programming, collections, and technology services to continue to provide access to information in rural areas?
In this session, Jennifer Thiele discusses some of the issues at hand, and how librarians have worked through them with budgetary shifts, partnering with support agencies, advocacy campaigns, and other methods.
