Mark Aaron Polger is an academic librarian and information literacy instructor at the College of Staten Island, City University of New York (CUNY). He received his MLIS degree in 2000 from the University of Western Ontario and has been working in libraries since 1992. In 2019, he wrote Library Marketing Basics, published by Rowman and Littlefield Publishers. This "how-to" guide is a great introductory text to library workers who are charged with marketing their libraries to different targeted groups. His latest book Library Signage and Wayfinding Design: Communicating Effectively with Your Users was released in early November 2021 by ALA Editions.
