About the webinar

Integrate news literacy into your classroom.

Amy Damico and Melissa Yang help college librarians integrate news literacy materials into their educational practice.

Join communication professors Amy Damico and Melissa Yang for a webinar designed to support college librarians in integrating news literacy materials into their educational practice. The session will provide a brief overview of key news literacy strategies and explore how they can be applied across disciplinary content.

Successful collaborations between librarians and faculty featured in the pair’s edited book, News Literacy Across the Undergraduate Curriculum, will be highlighted as a way of offering real-world examples of effective collaborations between college librarians and faculty. The session will conclude with an interactive discussion where attendees can brainstorm and share ideas for implementing news literacy content at their own institutions.
