Open Educational Resources (OER) are often praised for lowering textbook costs and improving access to learning materials, but their positive impact extends far beyond the financial.
In this session, Wendy Walker introduces the fundamentals of OER – what they are and how they work – followed by an exploration of how OER can support higher education students not just financially and academically, but also in terms of their emotional and physical health. Whether you're new to OER or looking to expand your understanding, this session invites you to take a fresh look at OER basics and benefits through the lens of student well-being.
