Join communication professors Amy Damico and Melissa Yang for a webinar designed to support college librarians in integrating news literacy materials into their educational practice. The session provides a brief overview of key news literacy strategies and explores how they can be applied across disciplinary content.
Successful collaborations between librarians and faculty featured in the pair’s edited book, News Literacy Across the Undergraduate Curriculum, are highlighted as a way of offering real-world examples of effective collaborations between college librarians and faculty. The session concludes with an interactive discussion where attendees = brainstorm and share ideas for implementing news literacy content at their own institutions.
